If you've been sitting on the fence about picking up Minecraft (even though it's only 15 euro) and haven't had the chance to experience it first-hand (aren't my Youtube videos convincing enough?), then give the Minecraft Demo a try.
Here's the deal: you get 90 minutes to play for free. Every item and block in the game is available to you as though you were playing the full game. After your 90 minutes is up, the world you're building locks and becomes un-editable. You're free to create as many worlds as you like, however.
Ninety minutes is more than enough time to be convinced that Minecraft is a fantastic game that warrants a full-version purchase.
It's a dark and scary night in this episode of Game Blaster 64's Minecraft "From The Top" Let's Play series. Time to try and find the source of that creepy sound emanating from deep within the dirt!
In this episode I dig deep into the ground (Earth?) and discover numerous resources including coal, gravel, and iron ore. What else will I find in the darkness?
To keep myself from being too scared I talk to the shadows (and viewers!) about the upcoming wolf upgrade to Minecraft as well as some of the projects people are building on my server, Hellblade Mobs SMP!
On a side note: today I reached 100 subscribers on my Youtube channel! Thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far! Directly after this video, a special tour of Hellblade Mobs SMP was recorded in commemoration of this fine event. Expect to see that shortly on Youtube!
Shatter is an awesome brick breaker game I picked up dirt cheap on Steam a few months ago and fell in love with. It's fun retro gameplay with today's graphics and sound. And, what sound! The game's soundtrack by Module AKA Jeramiah Ross is groovy, well-paced, loud, and fun.
A retro inspired, modern crafted audio journey from the critically acclaimed video game Shatter. A rich soundscape that flows through electro rock and retro beats, epic guitar solos and spacey vibes.
Crafted by artist Module in close collaboration with game production studio Sidhe, the music takes the listener on a hypnotic journey through the lush visuals and scenery of the game.
A side note: To celebrate, the game's developer, Sidhe, has announced that "tomorrow" they'll be offering 50% off Shatter on PSN. Buy it, already!
Tribes 2 was one of the best PC games I've ever played. It's definitely in my top 3 list of best FPS games ever released. Released over 10 years ago, it was my first experience with full-scale (32 vs. 32) online multi-player combat. No FPS game has come close even still.
It's been a long time coming, but there's finally a true sequel on the horizon for that awesome multi-player shooter: Tribes: Ascend.
Developed by Hi-Rez Studios, the same fine folks who brought us Global Agenda, this game should tickle the fancy of any Tribes and/or FPS fan. As for a release date, I'm not sure... The end of the trailer simply states 2011, whatever that means. It can't come quick enough!
This game's atmosphere is fantastic during night. Sneaking around in the trees with moons overhead is an experience available in so few games. The only thing missing from these screenshots is the great ambient sounds and noises that play during the night in Wurm Online.
I'll be posting a few blog articles centred around Wurm Online screenshots, each in their own series. Over time, I'll add more and more screenshots to the gallery, so check back from time to time.
Turn the lights low and enjoy the Wurm Online Night Gallery.
