Brick-Force, the upcoming free-to-play, cross-platform shooter from EXE Games from Korea and Infernum Productions from Germany, is releasing a closed beta on February 28th. You can sign up now to get in early and receive a free in-game helmet as thanks.
Brick-Force's premise is simple: cross traditional team-based FPS combat with structure building of games like Minecraft. In this way, each round will be unique, strategic, and tactical. And, hopefully, fun too!
The game brings lo-fi cube warfare to browsers, tablets, and mobile platforms in spring of 2012. I'm looking forward to this!
If you're loving the gameplay found in Minecraft and are looking to try out some similar games, give these games a try. Some are even free to play!
Not all of these are Minecraft clones, however. Infiniminer was actually a huge inspiration to Notch when he started building Minecraft. Also, Notch was part of the team that worked on Wurm Online before leaving to go do his own gig.
