Elite: Dangerous Comes To Oculus VR

Good news for Oculus Rift owners: Elite: Dangerous is coming to your favourite virtual reality platform. Any player who owns Elite Dangerous or its new Horizons upgrade will be able to play using the Oculus Rift on March 28, 2016. Those lucky few who have access to VR tech will be able to play with all the other plebeians on Mac and consoles as Elite: Dangerous is fully cross-platform. I wonder if it gives them an advantage…

In case you aren’t aware, Elite: Dangerous is a massively-multiplayer space simulator. It was launched in December, 2014 after a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign and has seen steady upgrades since. There is no subscription fee. It’s a buy once, play anytime type of game. It’s a follow-up sequel in the Elite series which goes all the way back to the 1980s! In Elite: Dangerous, players explore the universe, mine, battle in dogfights, create alliances, and fight for resources.
