Steam Greenlight is the new community platform build by Valve for indie games. It’s a simple yet powerful concept: gamers vote up the indie games they would love to see on the Steam platform. The games that are most popular will be added to the Steam library for purchase!
This saves Vavle a lot of work reviewing indie games that are submitted and also gives them a slice of the crowsourcing pie, which is all the rage these days.
Without further ado, here are two games I think you need to vote up on Steam Greenlight ASAP.
This game is the most recently featured Fund This Game as it’s running a Kickstarter event at the moment. The alpha of the game is free to play and downloadable any time, but the Kickstarter would let the devs focus on the game full-time rather than when they have a minute during the day.
Just imagine what it would be like to play an infinite dungeon crawler. When you’ve got that image in your head, you’ll have a good idea what Malevolence is all about. What’s unique about this title is that, while it’s completely procedurally generated, we all play on the same world that’s been created.
